Flower Barrow

Image

Our faithful old wheelbarrow finally cracked up after 10 years of hard labor. We couldn’t bear to part with her, so we lined her cracks with screen, and filled ‘er up with good organic potting soil. My mom helped me arrange and plant sun-loving flowers: calendula, lobelia, lupine, nemesia, coleus, and some trailing lovelies for the edges: creeping charlie and oregon flea’s bane. We roll the flower barrow all over the yard for a little color spot during a party, a little eye candy while reading under the tree, a little sweet scent for our calico Gypsy.
